A bit about myself...

I feel blessed to have found my passion working with and around bodies as they go through life's transitions. With a deep respect for the human body, I feel so lucky to give back to others through work as a Doula, Educator, and Massage Therapist. I have been working as a birth doula for just over six years and feel honored to join expecting families during the life changing passage of birth. Soon after becoming a Birth Doula, I attended massage school at McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland, CA in 2014 to gain a more in depth understanding of the body and how best to support those in labor, and other life transitions. With a continued passion to gain knowledge around the birth of a child, I then began my journey as a Postpartum Doula and years later as a Childbirth Educator.

From a young age, I was surrounded by the presence of strong females who inspired me to trust our bodies and the natural processes that are demonstrated in nature all around us. Growing up in the small town of Canyon, the value of family and community have been instilled within me. Through this, I have learned to be true to myself push on to achieve my goals because we all deserve to feel fulfilled in our life.

At the age of 17, I graduated high school and moved away from home to help my best friend give birth to her first baby girl. This is when I knew that I wanted my future to be around childbirth, as it was such an amazing and humbling experience to attend. Years later, I revisited my goals in life and path really began to take form. I have obtained two associate degrees from Diablo Valley College in Allied Health and Natural Science and a Bachelors of Science in Health Science from UCSEB in 2018. Since then, I have continued to actively pursue my dreams and look forward to my future opportunities.

In the fall of 2020, I will begin a new path around childbirth as I begin a Nursing program and SF State, obtaining both a bachelors and masters in Nursing, becoming a Women's Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. Beyond this, I plan to continue my education and eventually become a Certified Nurse Midwife to enhance my knowledge around the phenomenon of birth and be able to offer services to clients who may be looking for alternative options around hospital births and beyond.

Until then, I continue to offer my services as a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Birth Doula (CD(DONA)), Postpartum Doula, and my latest acquisitions as a Certified Childbirth Educator through ICEA (International Childbirth Education Association). I believe with a wide background in various ways to support birthing people and new families, I will be able to bring a unique method of care to the hospital setting with a hope to positively influence the beginning of lifelong journey as a mother, father, and individual. By blending all of my modalities, I feel I am able to establish a more trusting relationship with all of my clients, soon to be patients, which will allow each participating member to benefit in their individualized role.

If you would like to know more about me or more about my services please let me know.

Many Blessings!
