Daytime Doula work

      Between the hours of 8am-8pm, I offer daytime visits with a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 8 hours shifts. During this time I aim to support the family in anyway to aid in the bonding and growing relationship with their baby. This can look like caring for the baby while the parent(s) are able to catch up on sleep or other personal care tasks, or working with the parents to help establish a better understanding of their child's needs and a routine that works for all members of the family. Although I am not a Certified Lactation Consultant, I am able to provide basic breastfeeding advice and other ideas to gain efficient feeding routines, along with other aspects of newborn care. Furthermore, I will help out with other baby related duties around the house such as, cleaning bottles, folding baby cloths, organizing baby's space, or preparing food to allow the parents more time to engage with their child while still nourishing themselves. Other duties may be available depending on the families needs and can be discussed ahead of our time together.

Nighttime Doula work

      Between the hours of 8pm-8am, I offer nighttime support with a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 10 hour shifts. During this time I will provide primary care for baby to all the parents the most restful sleep possible. If breastfeeding, I will bring baby to the mom to feed and support the mother while baby breastfeeding, by bringing water, snacks, helping with positioning, and talking through the experience of being a new mother. I will then take the baby to another area to burp, change the diaper, and put baby back to sleep. If bottle feeding, I will care for the baby in the entirety during the evening hours and welcome the parents to join, if they see fit. With either method of feeding, I will encourage the baby to begin establishing nighttime sleeping patterns and work with the family to ensure the parents are at ease with my presence.
